About me

My name is Yvonne, but I also go by Ivy! I'm from Barcelona, Spain, and that's where I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Translation & Interpreting.My thesis at the time involved translating The Song of Achilles, by Madeline Miller. After years of dabbling in translation, I happened to discover the world of video game localization by pure chance. That's how I came to translate my first project, and how I found out that this is truly my passion.I have been a gamer all my life, and I still try to play as often as I can, regardless of how busy life can get. Some of my all-time favorite titles include:

  • Final Fantasy XIV Online

  • Anything Pokémon

  • Animal Crossing

  • Dragon Age

  • Mass Effect

Besides games, I'm very into fashion and make-up, nature, and I'm a lover of anything cute. I'm more of a tea person, and I've been obsessed with bubble tea for years. I've lived with animals since I was a baby, and I even wanted to become a vet when I was young; however, I think I'd rather stick to collecting as many cat colors as possible and taking pictures of them. 🐱

About my process

These are some of the things I can do for your game:

  • Translate the Steam page in an engaging and marketable way

  • Localize the dialogue while culturally adapting it to the Spanish (Europe) playerbase

  • Translate the UI clearly and concisely

  • Maintain a gender-neutral speech

  • Perform LQA (Language Quality Assurance) to ensure that every translated line is working as intended

  • Spot inconsistencies, errors, and typos in the original text
